Fröwag stands for fair, hardworking and functional!

FröWag testing equipment is suitable for a wide range of building material applications for asphalt, bitumen, soil, concrete and cement testing in accordance with current standards according to EN, ASTM, AASHTO and GOST suitable for modern laboratory operations.

Roads connect not only cities, but also people. They cover our entire planet and are mainly made of asphalt. This building material is subject to different requirements and legal standards depending on its intended use (e.g. road construction, airport areas or cycle/pedestrian paths). Material tests must be carried out to ensure that quality specifications are met.

Bitumen is a product that is made from petroleum. Its physical properties make it an ideal binding agent for roads or covering work, for example. The advantages of this material are that different requirements can be met depending on the type of bitumen. Accordingly, it must be ensured that the bitumen required meets the requirements for the respective application.

In bitumen welding sheets, screeds, thick coatings, sound insulation panels, landfill sealing or in road surfaces, bitumen is used in a variety of industrial applications and is indispensable in everyday life.

Refrigeration technology is a technical discipline that deals with the generation and application of low temperatures. Low temperatures are temperatures that are below the respective ambient temperature.

Compaction control on site, in the field or in the laboratory, determination of Proctor density or water content are just a few of the standard test procedures that are used to provide a stable base layer in road construction, a solid soil base in canal construction or a load-bearing base for foundations in building construction.

As a hydraulic binding agent, cement is an indispensable part of everyday life when it comes to the use of pozzolanic cements, concrete road construction, screeds and Portland cement. In general, EN 197 distinguishes between three different strength classes (32.5, 42.5 and 52.5 N/mm² standard strength) for cements.
